SCME152  Ymateb gan:  | Response from:  Martin Fisher

I wish to place on record my objection to any expansion of the Senedd as out lined in the Senedd Cymru (Members and Elections) Bill.  Budget mismanagement has left Wales with a black hole of £900 million and ‘the toughest financial situation we have faced since devolution.’  Our NHS service is in an appalling state, the worst performing in the UK; our local councils and support service are struggling; our transport infrastructure is dire.  As a result the people of Wales will inevitably suffer more physical and mental stress as well as financial.  Devolution is already failing Wales; I fail to see how the proposed expansion of the Senedd will improve anything other than waste money and create additional cost.  This is yet another example of Welsh Government wasting money on vanity projects that right now are not affordable.

If you have money to waste then please invest the money in improving the things that are really important to the people of Wales, expansion of the Senedd is not one of them.

Kind regards

Martin Fisher
